Electoral moods of the population of Mykolaiv: Election of Mayor, Municipal Council and the President of Ukraine

This year, from 23 of July to the 1 of August Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) has conducted a nationwide opinion poll. 1620 respondents above 18 years old, who are the citizens of Mykolaiv, selected by stochastic sample with quota selection at the last stage, were interviewed by the method of personal interview.

Statistical sampling error (with probability 0.95 and with design effect 1.5) does not exceed:

3,3%— for indicators which are close to 50%,

2,8% — for indicators which are close to 25%,

2,0% — for indicators which are close to 10%,

1,4% — for indicators which are close to 5%.


If the first round of elections of Mykolaiv Mayor took place in late July and and the following candidates would take part from all adult citizens (aged 18 years and older) of m. Mykolaiv:

  • 17,9% would vote for Yuri Granaturov,

  • 8,4% - for Artem Ilyuk,

  • 7,7% - for Sergei Isakov,

  • 7,4% - for Igor Dyatlov,

  • 5,9% - for Alexander Zholobetskiy,

  • 1,9% - for Alexander Sinkevich,

  • 1,4% - for David Arhamiya,

  • 1,2% - for Alexander Yantsen,

  • 0,9% - for Vyacheslav Symchenko,

  • 0,6% - for Mykola Romanchuk,

  • 0,5% - for Dymyd Gubsky,

  • 0,3% - for Vladislav Yentin,

  • 3,4% - have crossed all candidates, would have destroyed bulletin

  • 18,3% - chose not to vote,

  • 24,2% - have not decided for whom to vote,

  • 0,1% - refused to answer questions.


Thus, if the first round of elections of Mykolaiv Mayor took place in late July, and those who have not decided for whom to vote, as usual, would not come to the elections, about 54% of all voters would participate in the voting and among these candidates, the votes would be distributed as follows:

  • 33,1% would vote for Yuri Granaturov,

  • 15,5% - for Artem Ilyuk,

  • 14,2% - for Sergei Isakov,

  • 13,7% - for Igor Dyatlov,

  • 10,8% - for Alexander Zholobetskiy,

  • 3,5% - for Alexander Sinkevich,

  • 2,6% - for David Arhamiya,

  • 2,3% - for Alexander Yantsen,

  • 1,7% - for Vyacheslav Symchenko,

  • 1,1% - for Mykola Romanchuk,

  • 1,0% - for Dymyd Gubsky,

  • 0,5% - for Vladislav Yentin.


If elections to the Mykolayiv City Council based on party lists took place in late July and they involved the following parties, with all adult county residents aged 18 years:

  • 15,7% would vote for the party "Opposition block"

  • 7,9% - for the party " Block of Petro Poroshenko "

  • 6,3% - for the party " Union Samopomich"

  • 4,5% - for the Communist Party,

  • 4,4% - for the party "Vidrodzhennya"

  • 4,0% - for the party All-Ukrainian Union "Fatherland”,

  • 2,8% - for the Radical Party of Oleg Lyashko,

  • 2,8% - by the party "Right Sector"

  • 1,9% - for the party "Civil position"

  • 1,1% - for the party All-Ukrainian Union "Freedom"

  • 1,0% - for the party "UKROP"

  • generally for other parties - 3.5%

  • 2,7% - have crossed all candidates, would have destroyed the bulletin

  • 16,7% - chose not to vote,

  • 24,4% - have not decided for whom to vote,

  • 0,3% - refused to answer questions.


Thus, if elections to the Mykolayiv City Council based on party lists took place in late July, and those who have not decided for whom to vote, as usual, did not come to the polls, submitted voting would be as follows:

  • 28,1% would vote for the party "Opposition block"

  • 14,2% - for the party " Block of Petro Poroshenko "

  • 11,2% - for the party " Union Samopomich”

  • 8,1% - for the Communist Party,

  • 7,9% - for the party " Vidrodzhennya "

  • 7,1% - for the party All-Ukrainian Union "Fatherland”,

  • 5,1% - for the Radical Party of Oleg Lyashko,

  • 4,9% - for the party "Right Sector"

  • 3,5% - for the party " Civil position "

  • 2,0% - for the party All-Ukrainian Union "Freedom"

  • 1,7% - for the party "UKROP"

  • generally by other parties - 6.2%.


If the first round of presidential elections in Ukraine took place in late July and the following candidates would take part, from all adult citizens (aged 18 years and older) of m. Mykolaiv:

  • 10,5% would vote for Yuriy Boyko,

  • 8,9% - for Petro Poroshenko,

  • 5,0% - for Yulia Tymoshenko,

  • 4,4% - for Andriy Sadovoy,

  • 4,1% - for Oleg Lyashko,

  • 3,0% - for Dmitry Yarosh,

  • 3,0% - for Anatoly Gritsenko,

  • 0,8% - for Oleg Tyagnibok,

  • in general for other candidates - 5.7%.

  • 7,9% - have crossed all candidates, would have destroyed the bulletin

  • 18,2% - chose not to vote,

  • 27,7% - have not decided for whom to vote,

  • 0,8% - refused to answer questions.


Thus, if the first round of presidential elections in Ukraine took place in late July, and those who have not decided for whom to vote, as usual, did not come to the polls, submitted voting would be as follows:

  • 23,0% would vote for Yuriy Boyko,

  • 19,5% - for Petro Poroshenko,

  • 11,1% - for Yulia Tymoshenko,

  • 9,8% - for Andriy Sadovoy,

  • 9,1% - for Oleg Lyashko,

  • 6,7% - for Dmitry Yarosh,

  • 6,6% - for Anatoly Gritsenko,

  • 1,7% - for Oleg Tyagnibok,

  • in general for other candidates - 12,6%.
