Public perception of integration projects

In the event of a referendum on Ukraine's accession to the EU, there are more Ukrainians who are ready to vote "for" than "against" (40% vs. 33%). Supporters of EU membership dominate in the Western and Central regions (67% vs. 13% and 46% vs. 26%); and the ones who are against the accession live in the Southern and Eastern regions (45% vs. 22% and 50% vs. 24%).

KIIS conducted nationwide poll during the period of February 09–19, 2012. 2031 respondents were interviewed; the research covered all regions of Ukraine (including the city of Kyiv) and Crimea; sample was random and representative for the population of Ukraine aged 18 years and older.

Imprisonment of Yulia Tymoshenko, the former Prime Minister of Ukraine, calls attention of the general public, not only in Ukraine but also outside our country. The survey conducted by KIIS showed that only 11% of citizens of Ukraine do not have any thoughts on this.

Following the schedule of joint project of the Kiev International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) and the Levada Center (Russia), KIIS has conducted a nationwide opinion poll regarding attitude of Ukrainians towards Russia and attitude of Russia towards Ukrainian population, which was held during the period of February 10-19, 2012. 2029 respondents were interviewed; the investigation covered all regions of Ukraine, including Kiev and Crimea Region; the sample was random and is deemed to be representative for population of Ukraine aged 18 and older.
