January 22, 2022 marks the 75th anniversary of the well-known Ukrainian sociologist, co-founder and Director General of the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology, Professor of the Department of sociology of the National University "Kyiv-Mohyla Academy" Volodymyr Paniotto.

Paniotto Volodymyr  - famous Ukrainian sociologist, Professor of the Department of sociology of the National University "Kyiv-Mohyla Academy", co-founder and Director General of the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS).

After graduating from the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of the T. Shevchenko Kyiv University of in 1970, he worked at the Institute of Philosophy of the USSR Academy of Sciences as a researcher, head of the sector of computer modeling of social processes, head of the department of methodology and methods of sociological researches. From 1992 to the present he is the General Director of KIIS and Professor of NaUKMA. For two semesters (1993 and 1995) he worked as a professor at Johns Hopkins University.

V. Paniotto has published 11 books and more than 200 articles and chapters. He specializes in methods of sociological researches.
