This co-operation agreement is made between the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) and the Institute for Social and Economic Research (ISER) at the Universty of Essex, UK.

As institutions comitted to high-quality research for the purpose of informing society and driving positive change, KIIS and ISER hereby agree to provide mutual support and to seek opportunities for collaboration. We have already experienced successful co-operation in the past (specifically, in the context of exit polling at the

Ukrainian parliamentary elections of 2012). In current circumstances, we recognise that the relationship between our institutions is imbalanced, but we hope that this may change in due course.

Activities falling within the remit of this agreement may include, but not be limited

to:

• · inviting members of the other institution to attend seminars and conferences

without charge;

• · hosting research visits by members of the other institution;
• · providing advice, comment, or quality assurance, as appropriate;
• · collaborating on funding applications or other joint activities of mutual benefit.

This co-operation agreement will remain in force for an initial period of five years

from the date of signature, unless terminated by mutual agreement.
