Dynamics of readiness to move to live in the USA or the EU in case of obtaining citizenship of these countries
During September 1-6, 2024, the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) conducted its own all-Ukrainian public opinion survey "Omnibus", to which, on its own initiative, added a question about the desire to move to the USA / EU. Bythemethodofcomputer-assistedtelephoneinterviews(CATI) based on a random sample of mobile phone numbers (with random generation of phone numbers and subsequent statistical weighting), 1,022 respondents were interviewed in all regions of Ukraine (territory under the control of the Government of Ukraine). The survey was conducted with adult (aged 18 and older) citizens of Ukraine who, at the time of the survey, lived on the territory of Ukraine controlled by the Government of Ukraine. The sample did not include residents of territories that are temporarily not controlled by the authorities of Ukraine (at the same time, part of the respondents are IDPs who moved from the occupied territories), and the survey was not conducted with citizens who went abroad after February 24, 2022. Formally, under normal circumstances, the statistical error of such a sample (with a probability of 0.95 and taking into account the design effect of 1.3) did not exceed 4.1% for indicators close to 50%, 3.5% for indicators close to 25%, 2.5% - for indicators close to 10%, 1.8% - for indicators close to 5%. Under the conditions of war, in addition to the specified formal error, a certain systematic deviation is added. Factors that can affect the quality of results in "wartime" conditions were previously cited by the KIIS. In general, we believe that the obtained results are still highly representative and allow a fairly reliable analysis of the public moods of the population.

NDI 2024 Gender Survey: Ensuring Equal Rights and Opportunities for Women and Men in Ukrainian Society
The nationwide telephone survey, titled “Ensuring Equal Rights and Opportunities for Women and Men in Ukrainian Society,” was conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) at the request of the National Democratic Institute (NDI) in cooperation with the Office of the Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro Atlantic Integration and the Apparatus of the Government Commissioner for Gender Policy, and with the support of Sweden. The survey explored topics such as perceptions of gender equality, gender roles during wartime, gender-based discrimination, and gender-based violence. This is the second survey in the series, building on a similar study conducted in 2018. The nationally represented survey included 2,509 computer-assisted telephone interviews (CATI) conducted from February 27 to March 15, 2024, with a margin of error of 2.2% for the nationwide sample. The National Democratic Institute adheres to core principles of respondent data protection as outlined in the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) throughout the conduct of sociological research. Analytical conclusions and interpretations by third parties do not necessarily reflect the position of NDI. NDI is a non-profit, non-partisan, non-governmental organization that works in partnership around the world to strengthen and safeguard democratic institutions, processes, norms and values to secure a better quality of life for all. NDI envisions a world where democracy and freedom prevail, with dignity for all.

Ukrainians' perception of the threat of the spread of Russian propaganda in social networks and their attitude towards the Telegram ban
During September 1-6, 2024, the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) conducted its own all-Ukrainian public opinion survey "Omnibus", to which, on its own initiative, added questions about Ukrainians' perception of security threats from social networks and attitudes to the Telegram ban. By the method of computer-assistedtelephoneinterviews(CATI) based on a random sample of mobile phone numbers (with random generation of phone numbers and subsequent statistical weighting), 1,015 respondents were interviewed in all regions of Ukraine (territory under the control of the Government of Ukraine). Factors that can affect the quality of results in "wartime" conditions were previously cited by the KIIS. DYNAMICS OF THE ATTITUDE OF UKRAINIANS TO INDEPENDENCE AND THE INDEPENDENCE DAY HOLIDAY (2013-2023)
The absolute majority of Ukrainians (at least 87%) support the Independence of Ukraine. Only 0.3% believe that Ukraine should unite with Russia. Absolute support for Independence was a fact even before 2014, but now this support has become even higher. The attitude towards the Independence Day of Ukraine has radically changed from 2013 to 2024. In 2013, this holiday was the most important or favorite for 12% of Ukrainians, and in 2024 - for 64%. In 2013, it was one of the least popular holidays (only Constitution Day was less popular), and now it is one of the 3 most popular holidays in Ukraine, second only to the two main religious holidays. |
