Attitude of Ukrainians to the policy of regulation of information sphere
In September 2018, during the KIIS survey, respondents were asked to answer a few questions about the state's information policy. In February 2018, the same questions were studied in a survey conducted by KIIS at the request of the NGO "Detector Media" "Countering Russian propaganda and media literacy" (with a full report from this study, see the link below: https://detector.media/doc/images/news/archive/2016/136017/DM_KMIS_ukr__WEB-2.pdf). In September, 35% of respondents believed that there was an attack on freedom of speech in Ukraine (this percentage slightly increased since February), 30% - held the opposite view that there are too many pro-Kremlin propaganda media in Ukraine, and that the state and society react weakly (earlier was 33%). Note that a large proportion of respondents had difficulty defining their position (about 35% could not answer or refused to answer).

The number of the Ukrainians who hold positive attitude to Russia increased a bit since February 2018 (even though it is not statistically significant) and now constitutes 48% (it was 45%). In Russia, the number of positively disposed to Ukraine people has not changed and still is 33%. However, the attitude of the Ukrainian population toward Russia has been remaining better than the attitude of Russia's population towards Ukraine since 2008 (when we started the monitoring process).

The attitude of Ukrainians to political information on Ukrainian TV channels
The highest level of Ukrainians' trust in news releases on such channels as 1 + 1, ICTV, STB, Ukraine and local TV channels (33-40%). If we look at the balance of trust and distrust, then the first are the same channels, but Ukraine gives way to the local channel due to a higher level of distrust. For almost all channels, the balance is positive or different from zero within the error margin.
The lowest balance of trust in news releases on channels 5, Espresso, Direct and NewsOne, the number of those who trust is roughly equal to those who do not trust.
