Socio-political moods of the population of Ukraine: elections of the President of Ukraine and the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine based on the results of a telephone survey conducted on January 20-21, 2022

On January 20-21, 2022, the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) conducted an all-Ukrainian public opinion poll. By the method of computer-assisted telephone interviews (CATI) based on a random sample of mobile telephone numbers (with random generation of telephone numbers and subsequent statistical weighing) were interviewed 1205 respondents living in all regions of Ukraine (except AR of Crimea). The sample is representative of the adult population (18 years and older) of Ukraine. The sample does not include territories that are temporarily not controlled by the authorities of Ukraine - the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, some districts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

In Luhansk and Donetsk regions, the survey was conducted only in the territory controlled by the Ukrainian authorities.

The statistical error of the sample (with a probability of 0.95 and taking into account the design effect of 1.1) does not exceed: 3.2% for indicators close to 50%, 2.7% for indicators close to 25%, 2.1% - for indicators close to 12%, 1.4% - for indicators close to 5%.

Socio-political moods of the population of Ukraine: the results of a survey conducted on December 9-17, 2021 by the method of personal (“face-to-face”) interviews

During December 9-17, 2021, the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) conducted an all-Ukrainian public opinion poll. By the method of personal (“face-to-face”) interview using a tablet (CAPI, computer-assisted personal interviews) were interviewed 2025 respondents living in 109 settlements of all regions of Ukraine (except the AR of Crimea) by a 3-level stochastic sample with quota selection at the last stage, which is representative of the population of Ukraine aged 18 and over.

In Luhansk and Donetsk regions, the survey was conducted only in the territory controlled by the Ukrainian authorities.

The statistical error of the sample (with a probability of 0.95 and a design effect of 1.5) does not exceed: 3.3% for indicators close to 50%, 2.9% - for indicators close to 25%, 2.2% - for indicators close to 12%, 1.5% - for indicators close to 5%.

 

The first wave of the survey was conducted during June 22-29, 2021 according to the same methodology, the second wave - during July 24-August 1, and the third wave - during October 25-29. Where relevant, the dynamics of indicators during June-December 2021 are given.

Will Ukrainians resist Russian intervention: results of a telephone survey conducted on December 3-11, 2021

During December 3-11, 2021, the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) conducted its own all-Ukrainian public opinion poll "Omnibus". By the method of computer-assisted telephone interviews (CATI) based on a random sample of mobile telephone numbers (with random generation of telephone numbers and subsequent statistical weighing) were interviwed 2,000 respondents living in all regions of Ukraine (except AR of Crimea). The sample is representative of the adult population (18 years and older) of Ukraine. The sample does not include territories that are temporarily not controlled by the authorities of Ukraine - the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, some districts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

In Luhansk and Donetsk regions, the survey was conducted only in the territory controlled by the Ukrainian authorities.

 “Levada - Center”  conducted a survey  by a representative sample of the population of Russia, 1603 people aged 18 years and older, in the period from November 25 to December 1, 2021 by the method of personal interview.

The statistical error during the sample of 1603 people (with a probability of 0.95) does not exceed: 3.4% for indicators close to 50%, 2.9% - for indicators close to 25% / 75%, 2.0% - for indicators close to 10% / 90%, and 1.5% - for indicators close to 5% / 95%
