Electoral intentions of Ukrainians in the end of September

Kyiv International Institute of Sociology held a regular nationwide opinion poll during the period of September 21 — October 1, 2012, according to the request and following the inventory of the Fund "Democratic Initiatives". 2043 respondents were interviewed; the survey covered all regions of Ukraine (including the city of Kyiv) and Crimea; sample was random and representative for the population of Ukraine aged 18 years and older.

Electoral intentions of voters in the district 214 (the city of Kiev)

KIIS conducted two public opinion polls in the district 214 during periods of August 18–26 and September 23–30, 2012, which cover part of the Dnipro district of Kyiv. Each time sample consisted of 1,000 respondents aged 18 years and older, who were interviewed by the method of computerized telephone interviews (CATI) twice. There was developed two-stage sampling for each wave of the survey. The first stage was to randomly choose telephone number of household by means of RDD; the second stage was to choose respondents according to the quota task.

Electoral intentions of voters in 65th district (Zhytomyr region)

KIIS conducted a survey regarding public opinion of residents of the electoral district 65 during the period of September 1–21, 2012. The district includes following areas: the City of Novograd-Volynsk, Novograd-Volynskiy, Baranowski, Emilchinsky and Chervonoarmiis'kyi areas of Zhytomyr region. 810 respondents aged 18 years were interviewed face-to-face. To conduct a proper survey there was developed and designed a stratified, three-stage random sample with quota selection of respondents at the last step.

Opinion polls

According to the published data of AlphaVu and the Kiev International Institute of Sociology, Ukrainian voters are most concerned about economic issues and preservation of stability in the country. 54% of respondents said that stability in Ukraine is their main concern. Ukrainian voters pay a lot of attention to creating jobs and increasing of wages and social benefits.

Population’s trust in state government bodies

Kiev International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) conducted a nationwide poll of citizens during the period of July 19–28, 2012. 1001 respondents were interviewed with the help of CATI method (telephone interview); the survey covered all the regions of Ukraine, including Kiev and the Crimea peninsula; the sample was random and representative for the whole population of Ukraine aged 18 years and older.
