From May 16 to 22, 2024, the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) conducted its own all-Ukrainian public opinion survey "Omnibus", to which, by order of the public organization Center for Strategic Communications "Forum", questions were added about the 5th anniversary of President V. Zelenskyi. Bythemethodofcomputer-assistedtelephoneinterviews (CATI) based on a random sample of mobile phone numbers (with random generation of phone numbers and subsequent statistical weighting), 1,002 respondents living in all regions of Ukraine (territory under the control of the Government of Ukraine) were interviewed. The survey was conducted with adult (aged 18 and older) citizens of Ukraine who, at the time of the survey, lived on the territory of Ukraine controlled by the Government of Ukraine. The sample did not include residents of territories that are temporarily not controlled by the authorities of Ukraine (at the same time, out of 1,002 respondents from February 26 to 24, 2022, lived in the territories that are now occupied), and the survey was not conducted with citizens who went abroad after February 24, 2022.

Formally, under normal circumstances, the statistical error of such a sample (with a probability of 0.95 and taking into account the design effect of 1.1) did not exceed 3.4% for indicators close to 50%, 3.0% for indicators close to 25%, 2.1% - for indicators close to 10%, 1.5% - for indicators close to 5%.

Under conditions of war, in addition to the specified formal error, a certain systematic deviation is added. Factors that can affect the quality of results in "wartime" conditions were previously cited by KIIS.

In general, we believe that the obtained results are still highly representative and allow a fairly reliable analysis of the public moods of the population.

Bythemethodofcomputer-assistedtelephoneinterviews(CATI) based on a random sample of mobile phone numbers (with random generation of phone numbers and subsequent statistical weighting), 2,008 respondents living in all regions of Ukraine (except the Autonomous Republic of Crimea) were interviewed. The survey was conducted with adult (aged 18 and older) citizens of Ukraine who, at the time of the survey, lived on the territory of Ukraine controlled by the Government of Ukraine. The sample did not include residents of territories temporarily not controlled by the authorities of Ukraine, and the survey was not conducted with citizens who went abroad after February 24, 2022.

In particular, if in May 2022, among all the respondents we interviewed, 2.5-4% lived in the territories occupied after February 24 (and this corresponded to the percentage of those who live there, because the generation of telephone numbers was random), now due to the occupiers turning off the telephone connection, not a single respondent who currently lives in occupied settlements was included in the sample (along with this, out of a total of 1,052 respondents, 33 respondents lived in a settlement that is currently occupied until February 24, 2022). It is important to note that although the views of the respondents who lived in the occupation were somewhat different, the general trends were quite similar. That is, the impossibility of interviewing such respondents does not significantly affect the quality of the results. There are other factors that can affect the quality of results in "wartime" conditions, which were cited by KIIS earlier.

In general, we believe that the obtained results are still highly representative and allow for a fairly reliable analysis of the public moods of the population.

In December 2023 - January 2024, Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) has implemented a survey of Chornobaivka community (Kherson oblast) of Ukraine with the support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) “Ukraine Confidence Building Initiative(UCBI)” project. The survey examined residents' opinions and views on the current situation in the community and post-war restoration and recovery.

The survey consisted of 8 online focus group discussions with community residents (the field stage lasted from December 19, 2023 to January 17, 2024). The following target groups were involved in the discussions:

• youth aged 18-29 – 1 FGD;
• working population aged 30-59 – 1 FGD;
• active population (volunteers, business, activists) – 1 FGD;
• residents who temporarily left the community – 1 FGD;
• general community population aged 18-65 – 4 FGD;

In December 2023, Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) has implemented a survey of Zelenodolsk community (Kryvyi Rih district, Dnipro oblast) of Ukraine with the support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) “Ukraine Confidence Building Initiative(UCBI)” project. The survey examined residents' opinions and views on the current situation in the community and post-war restoration and recovery.

The survey consisted of a quantitative survey by personal interview (the field stage lasted from 12 to 21 December 2023) and a qualitative component in the form of 4 online focus group discussions with community residents covering similar issues.

As part of the quantitative stage, 406 adult community residents were interviewed using a random sampling approach. The qualitative component covered the following target groups: young people aged 18-29; working population aged 30-59; active population (volunteers, business, activists); residents, internally displaced persons living in the community.

In December 2023, Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) has implemented a survey of  Vysokopillia community (Beryslav district, Kherson oblast) of Ukraine with the support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) “Ukraine Confidence Building Initiative(UCBI)” project. The survey examined residents' opinions and views on the current situation in the community and post-war restoration and recovery.

The survey consisted of a quantitative survey by personal interview (the field stage lasted from 15 to 22 December 2023) and a qualitative component in the form of 4 online focus group discussions with community residents covering similar issues.

As part of the quantitative stage, 418 adult community residents were interviewed using a random sampling approach. The qualitative component covered the following target groups:

• young people aged 18-29;
• working population aged 30-59;
• active population (volunteers, business, activists);
• residents who temporarily don’t live in the community.
