Interethnic bias in Ukraine

- The lowest level of ethnic prejudices in Ukraine is to Ukrainians, Belarusians and Russians, the highest - to the Chinese, Africans, Arabs and especially high level of prejudice to the Roma.

- From 1994 to 2007, the level of xenophobia in Ukraine increased (in 2007 it was the highest over the entire period of observation), decreased slightly from 2008 to 2013, slightly increased after the annexation of the Crimea and the war on the Donbas from 2014 to 2018 and returned to the level of 2011 year

- Xenophobia is most influenced by factors such as education (the higher education - the lower the level of xenophobia), type of settlement (the level of xenophobia is higher in villiage than in the city), region of residence, financial status (the higher the level of well-being the lower the level xenophobia) and age (with age, the level of xenophobia increases).

Thoughts and Views of the Ukrainian Population on Judicial Reform: September 2018

Eurointegration strivings of the Ukrainian population and the priority of judicial reform after the Revolution of Dignity

  • In the case of a referendum on EU membership, 47.9% of the country's population would vote "for", 25.1% would vote "against", and 11.5% would abstain and not vote. Another 15.5% of the respondents haven’t decided yet or refused to answer the question. Thus, 65.7% of Ukrainians who would have participated in the referendum would vote for joining the European Union.
  • To the question "Was the reform of Judicial System needed after the Revolution of Dignity in 2013-14?" 40.5% of respondents said that "yes, and this was one of the most urgent tasks." Another 35.2% of respondents chose the option "yes, but this was not the most important task / were other, more relevant reforms." The share of those who believe that there was no need for the reform - 4.6%. Another 19.7% of the respondents haven't decided or refused to answer the question.

The rating of support for parties and political leaders: September 2018

If the elections of the President of Ukraine had been held in September, then out of all citizens of Ukraine aged 18 and above:

  • 10.6% would have voted for Yulia Tymoshenko,
  •  6.5% – for Petro Poroshenko,
  •  6,5% – for Volodymyr Zelenskyi,
  •  6% – for Anatolii Hrytsenko,
  • 4.6% – for Sviatoslav Vakarchuk

Social and political attitudes of the residents of Kyiv: September 2018

Assessment of the direction of affairs in Kyiv and assessment of the activity of V. Klychko as a Mayor of the city

  • 49.4% of the respondents believe that things in Kyiv are generally going in the wrong direction, 38.9% - in the right direction. Another 11.8% of the respondents could not or refused to answer the question;

  • At the same time, 31.5% of the respondents appreciate the work of V. Klychko as mayor of the city, 39.4% - evaluate it as neither good nor bad, 25.1% - evaluate it poorly. Another 4% have not determined their attitude or refused to answer.

Соціально-політична ситуація в Україні. Презентація даних

Пропонуємо ознайомитись з результатами спільного дослідження трьох дослідницьких центрів - КМІС, СОЦИС та Центру Разумкова. Опитування проводилось у період з 30 серпня-9 вересня 2018 року.

Метод збору первинної соціологічної інформації — стандартизоване інтерв’ю „face-to-face” за місцем постійного проживання респондентів. Опитування проводилося за вибіркою, яка репрезентує доросле населення України в цілому, за такими ознаками як: стать, вік (від 18 років), поділ на регіони та тип поселення (місто/село). Загалом було опитано  10005 респондентів.
