Expectations of voters regarding to the new Prime-Minister and changes in the Cabinet of Ministers after the parliamentary elections

On October 13 - 21, 2014 Kiev International Institute of Sociology (KIIS)conducted the nationwide public opinion survey by the customer order. Data were collected from 2041respondents,living in 110 settlements in all regions of Ukraine (except Crimea), through the method of personal interview.The sample was random,4-staged, with quota selection at the last stage and is representative for the population of Ukraine aged 18 and above.

Statistical sample error (with probability of 0.95 and design-effect of 1.5) does not exceed:
3.3% — for indicators close to 50%;
2,8% — for indicators close to 25%;
2,0% — for indicators close to 10%;
1,4% — for indicators close to 5%.

 

Respondents were asked to express their opinion about the necessity to change the composition of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine after the elections to Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine:

  • 43% of respondents believe that it is definitely necessary;

  • 30% - that rather it is necessary;

  • 8,3% - that rather it is unnecessary;

  • 5% - that it is definitely unnecessary;

  • 13,6% could not answer.

Also respondents were asked to express their opinion about the necessity to change the Prime-Minister of Ukraine because of the electing the new parliament:

  • 24,4% of respondents believe that it is definitely necessary;

  • 14,1% - that it is rather necessary;

  • 19% - that rather it is unnecessary;

  • 25,1% - that it is definitely unnecessary;

  • 17,4% could not answer.

Western macroregion: Volynska, Rivnenska, Lvivska, Ivano-Frankivska, Ternopilska, Zakarpatska, Khmelnytska, Chernivetska oblasts (regions); 24% of voters.

Central macroregion: Vinnytska, Zhytomyrska, Sumska, Chernihivska, Poltavska, Kirovohradska, Cherkaska, Kyivska oblasts (regions), Kyiv; 32% of voters.

Southern macroregion: Dnipropetrovska, Zaporizhska, Mykolaivska, Khersonska, Odesska oblasts (regions); 23% of voters.

Eastern macroregion: Donetska, Luhanska, Kharkivska oblasts (regions); 22% of voters.
