Index of Russian propaganda efficiency
It is impossible to conduct counterpropaganda without estimation of its effectiveness. The efficiency of counterpropaganda can be measured as the reduction of Russian propaganda efficiency per unit of expenses. That is why the index of Russian propaganda efficiency is needed. Index of Russian propaganda efficiency, which we offer, can become a tool for evaluation of Ukraine’s counterpropaganda measures in different regions and among different social groups.

Geopolitical orientations of Ukrainian Citizens: constants and changes of the last years (February 2012 – February 2015)
As on February 2015, the majority of Ukrainians prefer course towards European integration to joining the Russian-led Customs Union (consisting of Russia, Belarus and. Kazakhstan). Based on results of public opinion survey, conducted by KIIS, in February2015 47.2% say that Ukraine should join EU, while 12.3% prefer Ukraine's membership of the Customs Union.

How do the attitude of Ukrainians to Russia and Russians to Ukraine has changed
The attitude of Ukrainians to Russia and Russians to Ukraine has become more negative for the last three months. However, the attitude of Ukrainians to Russia is still more positive than the attitude of Russians to Ukraine Compared to the September survey, the number of positively Pro-Russian Ukrainians decreased very significantly on 9% (from 48% in September to almost 37% in December). The share of negatively-minded of Ukrainians to Russia significantly increased (from 41% in September to almost 48% in December).

Which Christmas gifts do Ukrainians want to get?
On the eve of New Year holidays the Kiev International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) decided to find out what Christmas gifts are popular among Ukrainians and to simplify the execution of a task of choosing gifts for family and friends. According to the survey results, the first 6 gifts which Ukrainians would like to receive are money, peace and ending of the war, car and car accessories, jewelry, romantic travel and household appliances.

Stressful situations in life of Ukrainians, 2014
According to a recent study by the Kiev International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) 61.9% of the respondents during the year experienced some stressful situations. Compared to 2013 year their number has increased significantly - by almost 10% (from 52% in 2013 to 61.9% in 2014). A lot of people in 2014 were in situations of shelling and bombing cases (7.1%). It was increased the number of people who have found themselves without a livelihood (from 4.8% in 2013 to 6.2% in 2014) or lost their jobs (6% in 2013 to 8% in 2014). |
