How the Ukrainians are going to spend vacations
The study showed that as of the second half of May 2017, 59% of Ukrainians do not plan to have a rest. This number decreased compared with 2016 (it was 63%). The number of those who have no opportunity to travel somewhere is 22% (in 2016 it was 25%). Also, it should be noted that by the percentage of those who plan to go on vacation we have reached the level of the "pre-war" 2013 year.

Only 25% of the Ukrainians know how the visa free regime with the Schengen area countries
Visa-free regime was one of the key topics of mass media discussion in Ukraine over the past two years. At the same time data of research and media monitoring show that there were no systematic explanation of their rights and obligations connected with the implementation of a visa-free regime. Only 5% of press reports on this subject contained analytics, the rest presented just the summary records of the process of obtaining visa-free regime. According to the latest polls conducted by Kyiv International Institute of Sociology, only 25% of respondents were able to correctly answer the question about how long one can stay in the EU territory according to the terms of visa-free regime.

Eating out tendencies among the residents of Ukraine
The majority of the Ukrainians eats at home. Over the past month, 29% of the adult population (48% among people under 40 years) consumed food that was prepared outside the home. Residents of Ukraine prefer "democratic” catering establishments. The leaders are cafe or bistro, which account for two-thirds of recent visits.

Geopolitical orientations of the residents of Ukraine: the European Union, Customs Union, NATO (February 2017)
If a referendum on joining the EU had been held in February 2017, there would have been 64% of votes for joining the EU, and 36% - against. In a referendum on NATO membership, there would have been the following results: 57% - for Ukraine's accession to NATO, 43% - against. Asked about the desired direction of foreign policy, 47% of respondents voted in favor of Ukraine joining the EU, 14% continue to support accession to the Customs Union of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Armenia, and 28% believe that Ukraine should develop independently without signing in none of these associations. |
